THSU Announces Newest Accreditation
Texas Health and Science University announces the award of Initial Grant of Accreditation by the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools (ACICS). The initial grant of accreditation includes the following program: Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine; Credential: Master’s Degree upon completion of 173 semester credits. The award was presented to the College by Albert C. Gray, Ph.D., Executive Director and CEO of the Washington-based accrediting agency, which is approved by the U.S. Department of Education, who extended the College his “Congratulations on achieving accreditation.”
“We are the first school of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine in the State of Texas to achieve this big milestone,” says Lisa Ping Hui Lin, E.M.B.A., President and Chief Executive Officer of Texas Health and Science University. She continues. “THSUis the first master’s degree program accredited in the 100 year history of ACICS; and we plan to lead the state and nation in upgrading the delivery of quality post-secondary education to an ever-growing number of students enrolled in an ever-increasing number of programs that prepare the new generation of learners to succeed in the global economy.”

Texas College of Traditional Chinese Medicine Gains 3 New Sister Schools!
Lisa and Paul Lin co-founders of our college returned from an extended trip to China. During this trip, they signed new sister school agreements with:

TCTCM Welcomes Dr. Chen Zhou M.D., M.S. To Our Board Of Governors!
Dr. Chen Zhou was elected to the Texas College of Traditional Chinese Medicine’s Board of Governors at the first quarterly meeting for 2012. Dr. Zhou received a M.D. from the Peking Union Medical College in Beijing China in 1996. In 1997, Dr. Zhou came to the United States and went on to receive a M.S. in Computer Sciences at the Rochester Institute of Technology where she graduated with honors. She completed her medical residency in June of 2007, at the University of Texas Medical Branch Austin Residency Program with electives taken in cardiology, gastroenterology, hematology/oncology, infectious disease and ambulatory care. Currently, Dr. Chen Zhou is a Clinical Assistant Professor at the Texas A&M University Health Science Center College of Medicine.
Friday, March 9th, 2012:
The first cohort of Dual Degree Candidates start their studies in China!
This morning the Dual Degree Candidates got on a plane from Austin heading to China and Zhejiang Chinese Medical University to begin their Dual Degree’s. The students were very excited to be going as well. Additionally, one of TCTCM’s alumni and adjunct faculty members also went on the trip to begin her doctoral program. As soon as the students are able to send us photo’s we’ll be posting them here. They should be back in two weeks.

Lisa Lin Scholarships for the Spring Semester Awarded!
